A record year for Operation Red Nose! Le Journal de Chambly - January 6, 2012 News> Community Julie Quévillon Mantha
CHAMBLY - Operation Red Nose for the Chambly Basin experienced a record year with 332 rides, compared to 246 and 243 in 2009 and 2010. With more volunteers participating, it allowed more people to return home safely.
The Centre de bénévolat de la Rive-Sud offers a personalized program for more than 800 volunteers each year.
Founded in 1979, the C.B.R.S. coordinates and relays the services of more than 800 volunteers per year. The Center is one of the largest volunteer centers in Québec with a staff of more than twenty employees.
An activity that has operated in the Chambly region for more than 20 years
After 14 years as the coordinator of Toast and Coffee, Mrs. Odette Malouin, nurse, is retiring.
Please take note that as of January 24, 2012, Toast and Coffee activities will take place at the Centre de Bénévolat de la Rive-Sud, 1410 Salaberry Avenue in Chambly.

As you probably know already, the nomination period is now open for the 15th edition of the Hommage bénévolat-Québec awards. The deadline for submitting nominations is December 12, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. The SACAIS (Secrétariat à l'action communautaire autonome et aux initiatives sociales) accepts candidates for this award that honors the exceptional dedication and precieuse contribution of the volunteers and organizations from all regions of Québec.
