On May 1st 2008, under the theme “30 years in pictures”, the C.B.R.S. paid tribute to its volunteers by giving a gala evening. It was with pleasure and pride that the Center gave out prizes in recognition to the volunteers having contributed for 5, 10, 20 and 25 years.
It is a great source of pride, because quality volunteerism, a most important concept, takes its full meaning through the excellence of the work provided by hundreds of volunteers. Because of their vital involvement, the Center offers more than a dozen direct services to the population. It comes to this: no volunteers, no Center, no services! And so that it why the volunteers are so important to the community!
Let us remind you that the event took place in St-Constant, in a contemporary room of Exporail, in the Canadian Railway Museum; the music was provided for by the “Preville big Band”. In 2008, it was a good way to conclude the National Volunteer Week.
Finally, the entire Center's team wishes to thank the volunteers for 30 years of action and generosity. Seeing that the Center celebrates its 30 year anniversary with you, it is because many of you consider that a better society is structured through action.
THANK YOU to all the volunteers in the Monteregie!
