Throughout the Montérégie area, the Centre de Bénévolat de la Rive-Sud plays an increasingly important role in terms of training for volunteer coordinators.
Annually, the Centre offers training on management and supervision of volunteers. Organizations can also take advantage of customized training.
Basic training allows managers to integrate tools and concepts essential to the new realities facing the management of volunteer services, including the filtering process.
The workshops encourage the exchange of experience between participants. Moreover, the practical application of the exercises allows organisations to improve their tools and to establish a policy framework covering the entire process of managing a volunteer service.
The five basic workshops are:
Recruiting volunteers;
Selecting volunteers;
Supervising volunteers;
Handling problem behaviours by volunteers.
You can choose from two formulas: “à la carte” or a package deal for all the workshops. All the information you need to decide which formula is best for your organisation can be found on the registration form.
The Center also offers a customized workshop formula that can meet the specific needs of a particular group. The Center's personnel can offer on-site training. See the Customized Training Form for more information.
Since 2007, the CBRS is accredited by the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail, theLabour Market Partners Commission, for the purposes of the Law favouring the development of the training of the work force.
