The medical transportation assistance for people living at home, which is given by the volunteers, offers a substantial and reassuring presence, as well as a means of transportation, in order for them to go to their medical or psychosocial appointments. *

Please take note that this service does not replace public transportation services (taxi, bus, paratransit “transport adapté”)

Admissibility:

Someone who…

• Resides in the neighbourhood covered by the C.B.R.S. branch.
• Requires a physical and reassuring companion, a service which is not available in the his surroundings.
• Is willing to pay the cost of the transportation or a C.B.R.S's pre-established amount.
• Makes his request to the C.B.R.S. at least 48 hours in advance.
• All children below 13 years of age must be with a parent or a responsible adult who responds to the admissibility conditions of the C.B.R.S.

* Psychosocial appointments are designed to restore and maintain the social and psychological balance of individuals. They consist of various social activities concerning life change patterns, of community involvement, of mental health prevention and of various screenings.
