The aspiration of the community mediation service is to reduce social pressures and to improve neighbourhood networks as well as everyday living.
Qualified volunteers who are supervised by the C.B.R.S. and by “Ressources Alternatives Rive-Sud”, accomplish the task of mediators.
While respecting the rules and terms of the service, the team of structured volunteer mediators allows the members of a given community to be in a position to settle certain problematical situations:
neighbourhood conflicts;
personal conflicts (excluding those regarding family mediation);
conflicts between one or a certain number of citizens and private or public community organizations;
conflicts related to a criminal proceeding.
Cost: free.
Admissibility:
Available to Chambly and Carignan citizens involved in personal, neighbourhood conflicts as described above.
