Meals on wheels is a meal service delivered by a caring volunteer. The service promotes home support for seniors, for people with disabilities and convalescents.

Meals on wheels, it's a hot meal, delivered to your door at least two days a week, according to the schedule of each CBRS branch. The meals include soup, main dish and dessert.

Cost: an average of $6.00 per meal. Prices are slightly different from one branch to another.

Admissibility:

  • be a resident of the area covered by the branch
  • be over 65 years of age or
    • be disabled
    • be a convalescent
    • be living with a physical or mental deficiency
  • be willing to pay the cost established by the C.B.R.S.

Frequently asked question:

How do I pay? Directly to the volunteer or according arrangement made beforehand with the person in charge at the branch.

Who prepares the meals? They are cooked by a community organization following strict food security methods.

Who delivers the meals? The Meals on Wheels volunteers are reliable people who were chosen according to the strict requirements of the C.B.R.S. Furthermore they are generous people who want to get involved within the community with people experiencing gradual insecurity.

To cancel a meal, please advise by phone at least one day in advance by dialing at your branch.

Under certain circumstances, such as a legal holiday or a snowstorm, the service can be interrupted. Each person will be advised personally.
